“MY DEAR JAPAN”

MY DEAR JAPAN is a group exhibition of several European artists presenting new artworks for you in Tokyo.

Come and discover in exclusivity  brand new very decorative silk paintings by Maryvonne de Follin, mysterious photographs of Tokyo streets by Milo, stunning clichés of winter time in Paris and New York by Christophe Jacrot, exquisite bronzes sculptures by Virginie Truchot…and many others.

Summer time is here and the end of year is approaching; this year will be a year for sharing, giving and showing those around you how much you value their love and friendship. So don’t hesitate to come and please yourself or oneself with a beautiful piece of work.

A percentage of the sales will be donated for the reconstruction of Tohoku.

“WINTER IN THE CITIES!”

Photographs by Christophe Jacrot & Bronze Sculptures by Virginie Truchot.

Paris, New York, Hong Kong, under the rain and the snow! winter transforms the city and it is under bad weather that Christophe Jacrot prefers it. Photographer is inspired by the subtle light of a white sky, by a bridge under the snow or by a streaming window. Artemiss Contemporary is delighted to present these magic moments, along with the beautiful bronze sculptures by Virginie Truchot, from 26th March to 1st April.

Call it nomadic in concept, Artemiss Contemporary takes art to the people by holding exhibitions in unusual places — restaurants, shops, salons, hotels, flats — as well as its own gallery space. Created in Hong Kong two years ago (ref. Wittgenstein Gallery and Envie d’Art), this is the first time the idea of a roving art gallery for European art is being launched in Japan. It’s the brainchild of gallery owner Clementine de Forton, working with partner Chloe Montel.

    We want to display the artworks we love in living interiors. That way anybody can see and appreciate the pieces in a friendly environment. We want to share our passion for amazing European arts — photography, painting, mixed media, sculpture — with the widest group of people possible.

    Besides, these spaces have a totally different atmosphere to galleries. The buzz of a venue filled with people having a good time lends an extra dimension to artworks.

    That’s particularly true of our first exhibition, THE URBAN MUSE, which focuses on the world’s great cities, and the dynamism, drive, humour and trauma of the urban environment. An unexpected encounter with an artwork is like a moment out of time — and that’s exactly the emotion the artists in our exhibition are trying to achieve.
